Belly & Brain, The Game. Week 8 (already?!)

It’s all go here. Another week gone and the game looks even better than before. The sets are a little more detailed, the game is a bit more robust than ever, Belly is finally moving around showing his ever changing moods and there are more levels than you can shake a stick at. It’s really becoming a fun wee title now. The level design is going full steam ahead with only small breaks allowed for tea, sleep and food. Very fast food. This time next week, we should be looking at a full suite of levels in the game. And what levels they are. Rather than waffle on about the ins and out of level design theory, I thought I’d show you some shots from the game to see it in all its glory.

First in this week’s parade of new releases is the delightfully twisted rom-com I Love You Phillip Morris featuring the eccentric comic stylings of Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. Though he’s been around the world on a motorbike, Ewan has a lot of love for Italian food, particularly a well-made pasta dish. Why not order up a few pastas from your favourite Italian takeaway for the flick? While you’re waiting for that to arrive, make yourself Jim Carrey’s favourite snack: toasted cheese sandwich with loads of ketchup for dipping.

Also out this week is Nanny McPhee & The Big Bang. Perfect for gathering the family around, you may also want to treat the clan to star Emma Thompson’s favourite of cod, with a good old fashioned English takeaway of fish & chips.

You have to be pretty important to have your own theme, right? It’s usually the reserve of movie stars, WWE actors and all the guests of the former Friday Night with Jonathan Ross show. Befitting their extremely important role as World Ambassadors of Food and the front-men of Just-Eat, Belly & Brain now have their own theme tune. Thankfully, it’s not a delightful ditty by those 4 jolly men from his show, even though they’re probably now out of work and, I suspect, quite affordable.

A-list Celebrities are just like us (if you don’t include the fame and wealth factor) and every once in awhile they like to put their feet up and order in a good takeaway. Fancy dining in like a celeb? Then get clicking…

Jennifer Aniston, recently in London to promote her new perfume, is a huge fan of Mexican takeaways. According to one source, her idea of heaven is Mexican tortilla chips and an ice cold margarita.

Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes adore Italian takeaways – though they do it a little bit differently. He’s been known to fly his favourite Italian chefs in to his place to do the cooking when he’s got a craving for pasta. Also loving the Italian takeaways is Mariah Carey, who makes no secret of her love for pizza, naming it as her best-loved food in several interviews.

Hollywood darling Gweneth Paltrow is surprisingly a huge lover of Spanish foods and takeaways. How deep is her love? She even presented a series on Spanish food and cooking for American television.

Contrary to popular belief, food dominates the average man’s thoughts more frequently than nookie, according to our recent of survey of 1,312 men aged 18-35.

Respondents to the survey were asked the question, “How often do you think about food each day?” They were then asked to choose from multiple choice answers. The average male admitted to considering food once every 5 minutes. In contrast, when asked the same question about sex, the average amount of time that the men spent thinking about getting jiggy appeared as once in every 7 minutes.
